Downloading Your Facebook Account

Facebook recently rolled out a a new feature: you can now download a zip archive of all the info associated with your account. Here's the full contents of the archive, according to Facebook's help pages:
  • Your profile information (e.g., your contact information, interests, groups)
  • Wall posts and content that you and your friends have posted to your profile
  • Photos and videos that you have uploaded to your account
  • Your friend list
  • Notes you have created
  • Events to which you have RSVP’d
  • Your sent and received messages
  • Any comments that you and your friends have made on your Wall posts, photos, and other profile content.
Wow. That is a serious list. It's so much data that it's actually not immediately available for download. You have to request it, and then Facebook generates it all and sends you an email when it's ready to download. I started mine about 10 minutes ago and still haven't gotten an email. I'm really hoping that it's in a nice, easily-parsable format, because there's all kinds of fantastic data-mining I can do on myself if it is. I'll probably make this into a running series of posts here, assuming I can get some interesting results out of it.
